Web Hosting Cloudpanel Nginx vs Cyberpanel OLS (TEST)

  • Thread Author
Hello everyone, this is me Admin!

Let's get straight to the point. Free Web Hosting Panel Benchmark!

Everybody else at reddit and lowendtalk forum was praising how good cloudpanel nginx is and how much it is better than a OLS based panels out there. So I have did some test just few minutes before writing this thread. I am here to show some test that i have made between the two free web hosting panel on a same spec'd vps server 2core 8gb ram.

Cloudpanel Nginx

Max Capacity Cloudpanel/Ngninx provided on the loader.io test: 2500 clients/15sec
Caching: Redis Full Page Cache, Redis Object Cache, Redis Session Cache, Redis Database Cache
Config: Default

Cyberpanel OLS

Max Capacity Cloudpanel/Ngninx provided on the loader.io test: 10000 clients/15sec (max settings at loader.io)
Caching: LSCache (Page Cache), Redis Object Cache, Redis Database Cache
Config: Default

Cloudpanel doesnt support fastcgi cache by default and cloudpanel's varnish cache is unsupported by the php CMS i used (xenforo). And this is by no means a nginx vs ols test, this is about Cloudpanel vs Cyberpanel. As a user i have put my 2cents on this, hope it will help.

What's the point of this?

I am all for what works best at minimal effort. So that i can focus on other important things. I run a moderately high traffic site for my clients, and i was thinking if moving to Cloudpanel (nginx) is a good idea or not. I must say, i have a mixed feeling about this.

Cloudpanel is very simple and lightweight and great backup system. Overall a great web hosting panel much stable than cyberpanel. But i couldnt understand why they went with varnish and working with nginx vhost is nightmare coming from htaccess, but eventually i learnt to use that.

I will test again later, but for now i will stick with my good old cyberpanel setup.

Another testing im doing currently.. which actually performed quite unexpected. Nginx is performing better with sustained load.

With nginx setup, larger number of users can access the site continuously than what my litespeed setup can do right now.

I will test more and share the results here.
